Super Bowl is over and Paleo marches on. Hopefully y’all didn’t overdo it too much. I know it must’ve been tough since it was such an exciting game…but it’s over now and it’s time to get back aboard.

Remember this Saturday is our Paleo Potluck and it’s open to everyone, so bring the family, bring a PALEO dish and join us.

Hope to see you there, now click HERE for today’s WOD.

Paleo is amazing! Did have a few gluten free beers and tequila for a birthday celebration but stayed strict with the food! Feeling great with the paleo lifestyle and PR on my favorite wod this morning…34 seconds improvement over my time 4 months ago! That’s all the proof I need to show this stuff works!
    Go Green Graces!

3 Jack and Diets on Saturday for Steve’s wife bday party and 2 glasses of wine for the Superbowl. Those were my sanity moments last week. So I’m human. shoot me.. On another note, not one Dorita or any chip for that matter went into this pie hole during the Superbowl. Now for the good news. Attended 5 WODs and did 2 on my own. The weight is a little slower coming off, but it’s still coming off. I’m down another 2 lbs for a total of 13. Go Green Graces.

Yeah, fell off a little with a queso and french onion dip this weekend, but nothing too egregious. I’ll complement my 3 WODs with cycling as reparations. Am I forgetting something…oh GO GREEN GRACES!!!

I am still amazed at how easy this gets to incorporate into your day to day. I love realizing you can do this all the time with not real sacrafices (and thanks, Erica for pointing out that’s what the challenge is all about). Lovin’ this and lovin’s the support from ALL the teams. Project “meet my abs” carries on! LOL Go Blue Frans!

This was a tough week, but finding ways to overcome the everyday has become a fun challenge. I keep feeling better and looking better. I look forward to actually making it to the gym this week!

Loving the paleo lifestyle. Supebowl I made chicken stirfry with a ton of veges and I drank water. Having to go to work that night may have helped keep me away from the bad stuff. But here we are starting week five and everyone seems to be doing great. Keep up the good work. Go Green Graces!!

Hello All! Another great week of Paleo eating. I have really enjoyed all the recipe sharing and new meal ideas that have been going on this challenge!! I am STILL working on a Paleo Recipe Book made up of only ACF members recepies. So if you have made something and it was awesome, please email it to me with your notes! (erica@alamocrossfit.com) I am putting it together for us all so we can be sure to continue on this paleo lifestyle well after the challenge. I will finish it up IF and when I get enough recipes.(which I havent yet) So be sure to email me!

Game, what game? It was a great time to go shopping for all those veggies. Green has been the color of my week. No, I’m not cheating on you yellow team. First time on green band and first time swinging the green kettle bell. Yea me!

Work sucked the life out of me this week. I wasn’t able to hit ACF at all due to working late =( I committed to 2 runs on my own though- totaled 4.6 miles.

I went to Whole foods yesterday and should be right on track for week 5!

    GO BLACK MURPHS!

The big thing for me, after week #4, is a confidence that I can keep doing this on an ongoing basis, not just during this challenge. Its all about the Sunday prep session! So easy to eat well when its all ready to go in the fridge, takes minutes to get my food for the day ready to go!

Still struggling with getting my workouts in, glad to use my busy life as an excuse. Still feel better than I have in the last year!

Am fitting in my uniforms better since doing Paleo. Been fitting into my basic training blues pants again (after being in the AF for 7 yrs!) since starting Crossfit in July. Go DT!

None of my pants fit anymore and I am on the last buckle hole of my belt. I had two beers yesterday during the game, it has been my only diversion since we began the challenge but it is all good.

    WHO DAT!!!!

Work has been kicking my butt lately and somehow I let that keep me out of the gym one or two days more than I should have the last couple weeks. Totally committed to making it the full week this week!!! This whole experience has made me feel great in general… and fitting into my old pants makes it even better. Here’s hoping all the machines run right at work this week and I get in all my time at the gym!!! Only have a few weeks left before I’m outta here!!! Keep up the great work eveyone and thanks!

Kept a neutral to slightly negative calorie balance. Was not hard at all this week. Worked an insane amount of hours this week so I also trained less than usual but still put in a decent week.

Going to train hard and eat perfect this week!

    Go yellow!

Have been about 85% paleo overall. I am striving for 100% but stumble from time to time. Working out very hard and feeling strong. I need to see some of the recipes that Erica is talking about. My food choices are becoming repetitive and boring! Have a great week!!

Dos XX for the Saints road to the Superbowl have been my only weakness! It is getting easier and easier to cook veggies and find ways to get more protein in my diet. With all the protein I am finding I am not that hungry during the day as I used to be with all the carbs I ate. Go Yellow DT!!!

better week this week. still lots of time and stress issues, but less evening meetings this last week. feel so much better when I don’t cheat that I’m not sure why I do. Expediency and convenience I suppose. The more time pressure I feel, the less pre-meal planning that I do. Seems to be a connection. I left the house this morning with no Paleo snacks in my briefcase. However, I had no cravings and thus didn’t eat any crap. Had a good workout tonight and feel great after hitting the hot tub. Feel good about the last three weeks of the challenge. my travel plans have changed and I will be at the last Saturday weigh in.

Had a tough weekend at the field with little time to eat, so ate what was around at the field. Had a sandwich and lots of fruit. Exhaused from the weekend full of softball and stress…didn’t make it to Alamo this morning, but I also need my sleep.

Had a real good week paleo wise and I am really felling a big difference in the gym. I did cheat on suday with a few (ok 5) good Northern full flavored beers but I have to say I suffered real bad as a result.

Recovering from dry socket (had a wisdom tooth pulled..ouch!) completely put a rough patch in my week. I was restricted to a soft food/liquid diet and was in so much pain I could barely make it at work. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things this week and my progress wasn’t hurt. I miss my 5am wod! and I don’t know how much more veggie soup or mashed cauliflower I can take.

I eat the same thing like everyday, I hate being a picky eater. On a good note, haven’t had a soda in a while and don’t really miss it.

I’m munching on celery sticks as i’m typing this, i’m surprised i’ve lasted this long. it’s much more about liking how the clothes fit more so than liking what the scale reads. Now if only that large strong margarita wouldn’t have gotten in my way saturday, i can honestly say i was good this week. Oh yea, and those mcnuggets on thurs.

And that’s all i’m confessing to.

Ah. Realized this morning that I didn’t get my post in yesterday. But then when I got here I realized that Frick hasn’t posted today’s blog yet either so maybe I can get some grace this week :) .
Anyway, still going strong. I’m really into my groove with cooking on Sundays to have food for the week. Really helps prevent cheating. I can honestly say that I haven’t had a full on cheat yet. I’ve had a couple minor compromises (creamer in my coffee) but I haven’t yet just flat out eaten a pizza for dinner or anything. This past week I missed Saturday’s workout so instead I did one on my own on Sunday. First time I’ve done that. But pretty proud of myself for doing it. Definitely much harder for me to get up the motivation for that.
Ok, on to week 5. Go black murphs! On the downslope now.

Had six good days this week with one bad on Super Bowl. Although regretted in the morning. Amazing how the body starts not “liking” the bad foods. Hopefully, seven days of clean eating and four WODS this week.

Looking back at the blog I couldn’t find my blog post. I must’ve forgot to click the actual submit comment button in my rush at work. Any way this past week has been my worst by far. I missed a bunch of workouts because of work and ate a horrific non-paleo meal midweek. I was feeling pretty crappy about it but fortunately I didn’t put any weight back on and I lived to start another week in the Paleo Challenge. Thanks to all who attended the Superbowl Fiesta with Eric and Erica. There’s definitely strength in numbers when you’re trying to stay paleo.

Sorry for the late blog, but was traveling yesterday. Week 4 proved challenging with the Super Bowl. But, it’s behind us and ready for week 5. I’m trying to watch the fruits now to keep the fat loss occurring. As for food thoughts, salads are becoming more enjoyable with a squeeze or two of lemon juice and cayenne pepper (paprika is good also for those who don’t like it too spicy).

i’m way late submitting. getting ready for my cruise this next week. last week i was about 75-80% paleo, and i’m cutting myself a break. i don’t ever remember being so cranky about food. definitely took the ‘fun’ out of the challenge for me. that plus i’m gaining inches all over (not good!), so i’ve made adjustments to allow for the ‘bad’ stuff on occassion. sounds counter productive, but it was either that or quit. haven’t been to the gym in over a week. hope to get there tonight. crazy busy between work and home preparing for the cruise. pretty excited to head out though!
